Be You Skincare was established in Namibia in 2017 and was founded during a very personal journey towards achieving inner peace, rest, and self-authenticity. Throughout my life, I have been deeply motivated by a strong desire to make a positive impact on the world, spreading joy and positivity to individuals’ lives. However, my personal circumstances were challenging, and I frequently felt as though I was evading my responsibilities, ultimately leading to undesirable outcomes.

Subsequently, I encountered a voice that uttered, “Be Still and know that I am God.” This revelation marked a pivotal moment in my life. I came to the profound understanding that I must quell my inner turmoil before I could offer any assistance or inspiration to others. Consequently, I embarked on a journey of seeking inspiration in the inherent simplicity of nature. I realised that there was no need for excessive striving or stress; instead, I should embrace trust, respect, order, and a sense of a larger entity that possesses the capacity to provide all the necessities of life.

During this transformative process, I began to perceive the clutter that had accumulated in various aspects of my life, including my relationships, living environment, family dynamics, personal wardrobe, dietary habits, exercise regimen, health and beauty routines, and even my deepest thoughts and beliefs. This realisation prompted me to acknowledge the necessity of releasing unnecessary possessions, organising my surroundings, and simplifying my lifestyle.

One of the most challenging experiences was to simplify my health and beauty routine. I was unaware that my external efforts to maintain a presentable and aesthetically pleasing appearance were, in fact, a manifestation of an internal struggle with self-rejection and self-loathing. I discovered the transformative power of letting go and embracing simplicity, which ultimately led to a profound sense of vitality and purpose. 

In my recent exploration of the biblical narrative of Esther, I was particularly drawn to the extensive preparation she underwent before meeting the king. This process involved twelve months of meticulous grooming, including the application of special oils. This captivating experience prompted me to consider incorporating similar practices into my own skincare routine.

After experimenting with various oils for a few months, I observed a remarkable transformation in my skin. My sensitive skin began to improve, and it acquired a radiant glow. The excess oiliness dissipated, and I am delighted to report that I now possess healthy, beautiful skin.

The incorporation of this oil into my daily routine has become an integral part of my self-care regimen. It has been a transformative journey of shedding preconceived notions about skincare and embracing a more holistic and natural approach. I have discovered a profound connection between this skincare practice and other aspects of my life, including my beliefs and my interpersonal relationships.

Be You Skincare oil is not just a beauty oil. It’s a journey of awareness and self-care. It’s about taking the time to take care of ourselves, being still, and knowing that God has a plan for us. It’s about being still enough to hear the noise, the clutter, the voices, and the constant pressure to perform. It’s about being still enough to see the confusion, the exhaustion, and the never-ending storm. And it’s about choosing to walk away from it all and follow God’s lead.

Have the courage to rest for a little while, to give yourself space to breathe, to be healed, to be covered by His love, to listen to His gentle voice as He leads you into your life’s purpose.
